Here’s a [picture](http://www.flickr.com/photos/58334498@N05/5928846500/in/photostream) of the stray kitties I shall not be feeding or naming. But Ginger and Honey would be good names for the kittens, if I were going to name them. Mama lives in the neighborhood somewhere and goes home to eat. The kittens live under the front porch. ---

Good heavens. Mama is _gorgeous_. And Ginger and Honey, as are all kittens, are adorable. So, are you starting them on kibble or gooshy? Do any of them allow pettings? ---

Since you won’t be naming them, I do not vote for Honey and Ginger. I also do not vote for Goldy and Cinnamon, which would be my not choices. I want a kitten… :’( ---

No name suggestions, but great heavens, they’re just gorgeous! Mama cat reminds me of that iconic photo of the Afghani girl – those _eyes_! ---

If I were not naming kittens, I would definitely not name these two Honey and Ginger. They are awesomely cute. ---

If I wasn’t naming kittens I wasn’t keeping, I certainly wouldn’t call them Dawn and Dusk. ---

Under no circumstances should you ever name them Hera, RidingHood and Bronte. In fact, you should drive them away with [small](http://www.fancyfeastcoupons.info/images/fancy-feast-coupons1.jpg) [metal](http://www.toyourstore.com/store2/thumbnail/81400281376338.jpg) cans as soon as possible. ---

I most certainly would not call the kittens Tikka Masala and Creme Brulee, and I wouldn’t dream of calling mama PrettyPrettyFluffyTortiePrincess. ---

If anyone wants to come to Spokane and adopt them, I’ll try harder to befriend and tame the kittens. Right now they are still untouchable. I really seriously absolutely positively do not want any pets. Mama PrettyPrettyFluffyTortiePrincess already has a home somewhere. I’m hoping when they’re big enough she’ll take them home for weaning. And I hope her staff gets her spayed! ---

I’m told that cheap American cheese is like manna from heaven for kitties. I’ve got a friend who has managed to nab 4 kittens and the mama by tempting them with nibbles of cheese. He’s planning on an TNR for the Mom, and hopes to home the kittens. Is Mama PrettyPrettyFluffyTortiePrincess amenable to being touched? Sending her home with a note saying “your cat has kittens, please get her fixed” might help. And local rescues (not SPCA) might be willing to do a TNR for the kittens, or even a TNA (Trap, Neuter, Adopt) if you contact them. Talk to **flatlined**. She does this all the time. ---

The older they get, the harder to tame they will become. Before 8 weeks is best, after that it become difficult. After 12 usually very difficult. If mom doesn’t take them “home” soon they may become a lost cause. Then they will need to be trapped, neutered and live their life on the mean streets ( or your yard, I suppose ). I just went through this with a few feral kittens at my workplace. Thankfully we got them trapped, fostered, tamed and now well on their way to adoption. You might check and see if there is a group in Spokane that works with ferals ( not necessarily animal control, who would more likely end up euthanizing them ). That is a great picture, though :).
