If OP is willing to talk to the neighbors they can find who the chickens belong to by following them at dusk. If you see the chickens in your yard about an hour before nightfall they will start walking back to wherever they sleep at night. IME adult chickens are always in the coop or on their roosting spots well before dark. ---
