# streetlight out

I personally seem to carry some type of electrical charge on my body. I CONSTANTLY shock myself and others. When I get out of the car, when I touch a grocery cart or door. Doorknobs, light switches, anything really that wil hold a charge.

When you start a thread commenting on a column by Cecil, it’s helpful if you provide a link to the column. In this case, I presume, it’s [Can some people extinguish streetlamps by means of their bodily emanations?](http://www.straightdope.com/classics/a4_047.html)

It helps keep everyone on the same page, and it reduces the need for people to search for the column.
