stuck accelerator?

Coldie, the way that our MERRKIN accelerators are, the wire cable from the pedal to the throttle body butterfly lever is solid. Even if it is something internal, the engine won’t race unless the butterfly sticks open (extra gas will just make you run horribly rich, unless you are getting air through the throttle body) and when the butterfly sticks open, the lever sticks up, and that in turn forces the pedal to stay on the floor.
