Only in Rhode Island. I’m sure Caricci knows what I mean.
I’m pretty appalled at the school’s and the principal’s actions. So much, in fact, that I sent an email to the principal and the school board explaining my feelings on the matter.
I personally did not send hate mail of any kind, but did explain that I felt it was a gross misuse of power and reprehensible behavior and that I hoped the principal would learn to respect the power her position gives her.
I’m not sure it’s kosher to post those email addresses here (I’m pretty sure it’s not) but they are easily found on the school system and school website:
Office: www DOT providenceschools DOT org/dept/office/index.html
Board: www DOT providenceschools DOT org/dept/board/contact.html
School: www DOT providenceschools DOT org/hs/central/
I will not hotlink these for reasons of discretion and board involvement.
The school is Central High, and the email addresses are public record, right there on the site.

Note to mods: This is all publicly available information I got from Google with one search.
This has some evil parallels to the youngster who put up a video of a teacher going batshit on kids who failed to stand for the National Anthem. That kid was suspended and new rules were enacted forbidding one from having any form of video camera in school.
I’m all for affording respect to the anthem of any country by shutting my pie hole and standing for a few moments, but between ZT and other examples of over-the-top insanity in school systems, I fear for the next generation.
Well, I wasn’t paying attention except to the last names when I wrote it.
I hope this kid becomes a journalist.
Or she should be required to listen to Sammy Davis, Jr.'s rendition of “Smoke That Cigarette” 1,000 times.
And it ani’t slander if it’s true.
I hope so, too, although I do hope that he also figures out that everyone who decides to act like an asshole around him isn’t necessarily acting that way because they dislike hispanics.
In short, sometimes an asshole is just an asshole.
It’s true. And only in Rhode Island will you have the involvement of a state representative in pretty much everything you do except scratching your ass. It shocks me not at all that the deputy principal is a state representative who doesn’t know the difference between there, their and they’re.
I love it here anyway.
Here’s the latest:
Hey! That’s not true! Slander!!! Although two out of three ain’t bad.
And that’s plagiarism. I’m contacting Meat Loaf right now.
