I’ll say right upfront, I’m more grateful than ever that my loans are paid off; it seems every attempt to fix the student loan servicing business it’s somehow made worse. [Now they’re going to give ALL the servicing to a single company in 2019.](https://consumerist.com/2017/05/22/education-secretary-devos-to-give-all-student-loan-accounts-to-one-company-strip-away-more-protections/) My student loan servicer was fine w/ me, but I was never delinquent (luckily); I can only imagine how frustrating it is when one has fallen behind and they can’t get good help to catch up.
