# Study shows HIV, ALS link?

Did other SDopers read about a suspected link (or parallel pathway) between how HIV attacks the immune system and how ALS attacks the body’s systems? Just wondering what more  
others might have heard about this…

I should add that the story was discussing how a possible treatment for HIV might have benefits for those suffering with ALS. (ALS = Lou Gerrig’s disease)
