I recommend checking out [http://www.tvshowsondvd.com](http://www.tvshowsondvd.com). According to that site, The Tick DVD has been released. As has the 5th Season of the Sopranos, Batman, Mythbusters, the Wonder Years, and others that have been listed in this thread. The site does not list every TV DVD on the market, though. For the longest time, I checked the site to see if **Fame** had been released. I was bummed out because it wasn’t on the website, and I took that to mean it wasn’t available for sale. But just recently, I googled the web and discovered an online merchant that had it. I just got the four-disk collection in the mail. I’ve been spending my nights this week watching that delicious Gene Anthony Ray, may he forever RIP. ---

The Tick DVD that was released was the **live action** version. (which IMHO was merely OK) What many dopers (including me) want, is the **animated** version (which IMHO was great, awesome, super-nifty, etc) Brian who bought the live action DVD partially in the hopes that it would spur the release of the animated version. ---

Just watched the entire Dave Allen DVD ( then Nathan Barley, Buzzcocks, Seinfeld - Red Dot - Kramers scotch advert is the best ! ) tonight - an entire eve on laffs. Class. Dave Allen talking bout dogs and teenagers is hysterical. He is part of my childhood… ---

Tuckerfan - i thought all dvd players these days were multi-regional. Dave Allen was about 6 quid off amazon. Oooh - put me down for the tick animation too. Also, where is Sat Nite Live ( uk version with Ben Elton as compair ) and The Word ? To answer the op, I actually cant wait for the next Seinfeld box set to be released. Sin ---

**Get Smart** **Welcome Back, Kotter** … except season 4. I didn’t mind Travolta leaving, but without Kaplan it wasn’t the same show. It was a much worse one. I can’t wait for the rest of **Taxi** to come out, but I wish the DVDs had some speacial features. ---

[Scavenger Hunt](http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0079858/) is a movie I’d like to see on DVD. Also, there are a couple of Genesis concerts which were available on VHS which I’d like to see on DVD. There was one from the Mama tour, Three Sides Live, and one from the Seconds Out tour. ---

**Animaniacs** - couldn’t wait, made my own from tapes I recorded way back when it was broadcast daily. (no, I won’t sell you one!) **Rocko’s Modern Life** - Didn’t get to tape very many episodes, but I’m transferring what I got anyway. **Star Wars** - Lucas says he’ll never release the original versions on DVD, well, I’ve got these three THX widescreen laserdisc sets, let’s see… …wanders over to computer desk, plugs DV bridge into LD player… ---

**The State** , a sketch comedy on MTV. Very very funny stuff in my opinion. Problem is, being on MTV, they habitually used popular songs of the day as background music. And now that they wish to put out a DVD of the show, they find that the music licensing fees are prohibitive. Negotiations have been ongoing for several years. ☹ Possibly this is what the producers of the putative **WKRP in Cincinnati** DVD are going through as well . . . ---

Apparently, despite being released on LD, one of my childhood favs, **The Monster Squad** will never make it to DVD due to IP issues. Also, seconding **The Real Ghostbusters** ,\*\* Justice League Season Discs\*\*, and **Chappelle Show season 2** (pushed back to May, i think) ---

I think you can get it on VHS, but I would love to see a DVD of **Dr. Katz** from COmedy Central, especially with a comentary track. That show was pure unadulterated genius.
