In a small upstate NY town in which I lived years ago, a guy pulled up the bank’s drive-in window, pushed the buzzer, pulled out a gun, and told the teller to put some money in the tray. The teller just ducked down and rang the alarm. The guy then fired a shot at the bullet-proof glass window. It bounced off, shattered his windshield. He burned out of there, and was stopped in a couple of blocks by the town’s only cop, as he was the only one riving a car without a windshield. ---

My father was a cop for 30 years. His take: “Of course criminals are stupid. If they had any damn brains, they’d be able to make an honest living.”
