Like the SRiotD and the SLiotD, here’s a place to nominate Dopers who say something in a thread that rises high enough on the Stupid-O-Tron to point and laugh, but not necessarhigh enough to warrant an individual pitting. A place to highlight individual posts that exude buckets of self-contained stupidity where the idiocy speaks for itself. It’ll be particularly useful to comment on little balls of Shitoopid dropped outside the pit where open mocking would otherwise violate the rules. Take, for example, Der Trihs. In [O. J. Well, the thing you have to remember about Der Trihs is that he doesn’t live in the same world you and I live in. He lives in a world of Cthulhu-esque horrors where everyone thinks, lives and acts from the worst possible motives and ideals. ---

I like this thread as an idea but perhaps we should have some ground rules: – Join date has to have been at least 2 months in the past, so this doesn’t fill up with bright trolly meteors. – Limit of 1 nomination per stupid poster per month so this doesn’t fill up with the usual wackadoodles. Occasionally the sane amongst us have some stupid ideas too! ---

Ah, but we do have a runner up in [this thread about North Korea](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=696483): mr. jp, who got bent out of shape when people tried to explain to him his suggestions show he has no idea of what he’s talking about. My favorite suggestion of his was to “let China take over North Korea.” :rolleyes: ---

A man can’t be convicted of rape unless he confesses or the rape is witnessed by four other men. If a woman is raped and accuses her rapist, all he has to do is deny the rape and he’ll be found non guilty. And then, based on her “confession” that she had sex with the man, she’ll be convicted of extramarital sex with the additional charge of perjury for her “false” accusation. There have been several reports of foreign women accusing local men of rape and being themselves imprisoned and the thread was based on a recent incident.
