Why did my favorite sports team lose this weekend? I noticed after the game the players from the other team were thanking God. Did God make my team lose? And if so, is that considered cheating? ---

What do you mean, “one out of every five people in the world is Chinese?” There’s five people in my family and none of _us_ is Chinese! My golden retriever can’t smell gold. Is he defective or I am just not digging in the right place? I can’t understand my grandfather when he talks. Is he speaking Old English? Where can I get a good supply of burnt-out light bulbs to use in my darkroom? If John James Audubon had gotten his way and the turkey had become the national bird, would we eat bald eagles at Thanksgiving? ---

How does my VCR know what to record if I don’t have my TV on? Why does my SDMB screen look so much different than it did Sunday? How do engineers steer their trains? Why can’t I call someone a troll? Why did the automatic cup holder on my PC break off? I’m supposed to scan a document. I held it up to the screen and hit the return key but nothing happened. Should I have used the ANY key instead? Too many deer are being killed by cars near my house. How do I get the highway department to move the deer crosing somewhere else? How come airplanes don’t have to flap their wings, but birds do? ---
