It’s obvious in this thread that you are afraid of guns and it’s obvious if you enter one of those pit pull threads that you are afraid of dogs too. Didn’t you even say you would cross the street if someone walked one your way? So my assumptions are just me taking you at your word and I thought growing up fatherless might be a reason for your phobias. The rest of the poor absolutely could improve their lot in life if they want to. It’s not a question of ‘lazy’ or not - growing up, hell the poor people around me all worked like donkeys. I would say looking back that the ones that got out and the ones that didn’t, the main difference was the choices they made with the money they had. Basic education in home finances could probably do more than any tax break the government wanted to offer. So, you’re weaseling out of the bet you offered. Why am I not surprised? ---
