Fantasizing regularly about being in a scenario in which you will need to draw so quickly that you need to have a round chambered and be able to simultaneously click the safety off as you draw is the product of having a full diaper at the prospect of going out in the world. ---

Missed the edit window: As for preparedness, I can name 100 life threatening scenarios that you are not preparing for at all. The problem is that it doesn’t fill gaps in one’s self-esteem to quick draw their “everyday carry” maglite or to have their MRE chambered in their fanny pack. ---
