Wow, have we really gone more than two weeks without a SGNOTD? Well, wait no more! Two drunk brothers at 1:00 AM with a gun. One of them starts showing off his “tactical maneuvers”. It goes about as well as you’d expect. The show off waited till after 9:00 to tell anyone that he’d just shot his brother. And even then, he didn’t call 911 but instead called his parents, who seem to have an ounce of sense, as they immediately called 911. He was following the wise example of former Vice Gun\_Maniac-in-Chief Dick Cheney. Shooting his brother was affectionate play (and I hope the brother apologized for being shot), but the shooter needed to wait a while before his blood alcohol level was tested. Very smart. His parents must be proud. ---

A Congressional hearing [considered an amendment that would allow a study of gun violence](https://youtu.be/WZKMSyyvUEI?t=2m28s). I know that in “American democracy” the fucking Republican stooge leaders just do whatever the fuck they want, because they gerrymandered districts and suppressed Democratic votes, but … … just out of academic curiosity, if you click and listen to the vote, does it seem like there were _really_ more Nos than Ayes? (I admit there probably really were more Nos — how could a Gopster dare defy the NRA — but maybe they’re self-aware enough to be ashamed of their whorish behavior that they whispered the 'No’s.) ---
