The guy’s only mistake was leaving it in his vehicle instead of carrying it in some kind of Tactical Quick Draw Ballistic Holster. Hopefully proper carrying techniques will be addressed at his militia’s next training muster. ---

What kind of gun was it? Is an 8 year-old likely to know how to cock a gun, or switch the safety off?
