And in those jurisdictions with a magazine ban where do those weapons committing murders come from? And can’t the ammo manufacturers make smaller magazines that will fit those guns? ---

Presumably more than he sees his wife, as his congression duties mean he not doubt needs to travel a lot. He knows 15 rounds is the fit it needs. If someone makes that 7 round magazine fit…well it might superficially seem OK, but he may have doubts that it is still satisfied. ---
