I’m still trying to figure out exactly how this transpired. Obviously the decedent had a pistol in Condition One stuffed down the front of his pants. He contorts himself to make the u-turn and what? The only thing I can think of is that the pistol dug into him and he reached down to shift it, hitting the trigger in the process. Since it killed him, I doubt we will ever know for sure. ---

With maybe one or two exceptions, revolvers don’t have safeties. ---

I didn’t see in the article that it was a revolver. And even then, the “safety” of a revolver is that it requires either cocking them or that it requires a fair amount of force to get double action. ---
