Hmm, tried to get one of my sons into inpatient care once when he was suicidal. He didn’t have insurance (it was before the healthcare over haul such as it is). We were told if we had 5000.00 dollars they’d check him in. Since we didn’t we were sent to the ER, sat there for hours, and eventually sent home. That bill took a very long time to pay, and they did shit all for him. He’s better now, but it was a bad, bad time. US healthcare sucks, it sucks less now, but it still sucks. ---

I’m so glad he didn’t go through with it. I’m sad for his mom and brother; he’s so young. I don’t understand why this keeps happening, or in this case, almost happening. My oldest step-daughter travels all over the states as a contracter/consultant for safety compliance for different industry clients. She was supposed to be in Lewiston Maine last Wednesday. Because she had been out of the country for a couple weeks she asked to do it virtually. I was really glad that she didn’t go. She probably would have just been trapped there as she doesn’t go bowling or to bars while she’s working, but I would have worried about her being in a hotel during the lock down. This crap just sucks. ---

A man was shot and killed while inside a house. He collapsed and fell on his infant son, who also died.
