Then again there was a [specific mod note](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/positive-gun-news-of-the-day/735490/1911#:~:text=https%3A//boards.straightdope.com/t/positive%2Dgun%2Dnews%2Dof%2Dthe%2Dday/735490/1911) on _that_ thread that it was **not** the place to be adversarial about it.

But heck, even the [Positive _Gun Control_ News](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/positive-gun-control-news/839691) thread, died even faster.

TBF I suppose that as neither of those were Pit threads people felt it was no fun.

ETA heck, as I mentioned last time around, even this thread has become almost as often not about “stupid” gun news per se.
