Does projecting some liquid other than water out the nose or eye ducts cause any physical damage?

It depends on the liquid, of course. Blowing nitric acid out the nose would almost certainly cause damage, for instance. But probably, anything that’s OK for the inside of your mouth would also be OK for the inside of your nose.
