It smacks of trollery almost as much as the manifest abject stupidity. If this person were real, then it would essentially be saying “I’m really stupid AND I’m a child.” The “old man” thing would only work if you were actually smart, and were bringing some knowledge or perspective that older people were more likely to lack. Plus, it’s the internet. You’ve got no idea of other people’s ages. So, poor form, troll. Try to be more subtle about how you weave in your character’s details. ---

Another potential: [dry roasting](http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/to-your-health/wp/2014/09/21/could-the-dry-roasting-process-trigger-peanut-allergies-yes-says-a-new-oxford-study/) causes chemical changes in peanuts that may make them more likely to trigger an allergic reaction. This would make (extremely superficial) sense given that when I was a wee tad mubmlemumble years ago — at any rate, before dry roasting was introduced — peanut allergies were pretty much unheard of and anyone who suggested that one could be allergic to peanut butter would be looked on as completely unhinged. ---

This ruling just came in from **D’Anconia** : I’m sorry, it appears you’ve invalidated your entire argument by including evidence that you can’t tell the difference between Pete Seeger and Bog Seger. You’ll have to go sit over there in the “can’t tell the difference between cable TV and radio” corner with **Hentor the Barbarian** for the remainder of the thread (we’re still decorating the “can’t tell the difference between Pete Seeger and Bob Seger” corner).
