The problem is that current high-profile members of the Democratic party aren’t necessarily liberals, not by a long shot in some cases. I’ve no problem with pointing out true examples of stupidity of either. ---

Rush Limbaugh could be on the ropes! His camp leaked that he may not renew his contract with Cumulus. Cumulus CEO Lew Dickey has blamed Rush for financial losses over the past year. Rush’s “leak” may be a preemptive “You can’t fire me, I quit” move. For those sick of Rush and his ilk, this would be a good time to take a small action. Take this opportunity to let your local stations know via email how much you are not enjoying the ‘all politics all the time’ formats. They may be particularly receptive to your email at this time. My station has Rush (3 freaking hours a day! UGH!) Hannity, that freaky-freak Levin and a local yahoo named Michael Barry (recently popped for a hit-and-run after drinking at a local gay bar- LOL!). If you are sick of Rush and his type, let them know. So now, after six weeks of Fox News beating the drums about the Obama Gestapo, it’s come out that the IRS was targeting liberal organizations the same way as conservative organizations. They were looking for keywords like _blue, progressive_, and _occupy_. Why the fuck are we just hearing this? I mean, it was always bullshit hypocrisy, because the pundits screaming about the IRS using “Tea Party” to flag groups for further investigation of political activity have no problem with profiling Muslims or blacks, but why give the Limbaughs and Hannitys over a month to spew about anti-conservative prejudice unchallenged? Where was the Obama damage control team? Where were the investigative journalists? ---

The “Investigative Journalists” were too busy chasing the latest missing white woman story. (See the Coked-up Orangutang Phenomenon.) ---

FWIW, this fact was the one and only thing I noted (poss. at N.Y. Times?) when I Googled the “scandal” for the first and last time several weeks ago. (More right-wing organizations got hit, simply because so many Teabagging groups were coming into existence at the time.) Sorry for not mentioning it at SDMB several weeks ago. I didn’t dare post anything without a full report with citations. 🆒 ---
