Let me just speculate… Corporations (such as the one running Fox News) have come to the conclusion that (at least in this instance) they are not going to keep supporting the crazies. I imagine they’ll be back to supporting the TP Republicans after this goes away. ---

From your lips to the Ears, but I’m not so sure. The money republicans will yank the chain, but is there anybody left on the other end of that chain? That’s the big question. Come to think on it, they probably already have applied whatever pressure they posses, to no result. ---

I had a friend I would see every couple of weeks to grab a beer. We’d met at a local bar and watch a game, pound back a few beers and catch up. One week he showed up with a really nice new watch. I asked him about it and he said he only bought it to spend the last of this month’s pay. This seemed odd so I asked about his line of thought on this. He told me he had gotten in an argument with his wife. They were living in her parent’s basement and were trying to save for a place of their own. He had asked his wife to start saving with him but his wife spent her pay completely every month without saving (to be fair she made a pittance at a boutique that she used for clothes while he make enough to easily save for both of them without hurting his lifestyle). His reaction was to decide that he would spend his entire monthly income to spite her. In short he was willing to bring his family to financial ruin because he couldn’t impose his will on his partner. Seems to be catching… In a completely unrelated note, I stopped hanging around with him and eventually had to de-friend him of Facebook because of the racist anti-Obama screeds he posted daily. He seemed like a nice enough guy, but after Obama’s election he just lost his mind. ---
