# Stupid new thread timeout

I was trying to post a new thread about something else, but this has me flaming, so I’ll post about this instead.
[li]I go to post a new thread.[/li][li]It knows I’m logged in, because it let’s me get to the “Post New Thread” page and shows my name.[/li][li]I work to craft a nice, readable text with a little interest to it, you know, like I do. 🙂 This takes a little time.[/li][li]I click “Submit New Thread,” and it makes me log in, like I don’t belong here or something.[/li]
What’s up with this, and how do we fix it?
It torques me off over at my other message board, but I still feel like a visitor there. I freaking _live_ here, whether y’all like it or not, and I shouldn’t be made to feel like a visitor in my own home, should I?

For the record, I typed like hell to get that in before it timed out on me. I see the without [list] tag doesn’t work any more. That’s okay.

This has been mentioned in other threads. It seems like the timeout for your login is shorter thatn at the previous SDMB board. I will investigate but I don’t think it’s at the top of the list of priorities.
