I had a couple of friends in Catholic school whose parents were divorced. And I think I started there in about '83. Of course, maybe they changed it, or our school had a more liberal policy? This may just be a small blip, but there seems to be an increasing number of [haredi objecting to being seated next to a woman on the plane](http://www.nytimes.com/2015/04/10/us/aboard-flights-conflicts-over-seat-assignments-and-religion.html). And they cannot ask a flight attendant for a different seat, being that most of them are women, so they insist on the woman herself moving. These Hasids sometimes make the muslims look downright progressive. ---

I’ll never understand why people-- many religious people-- don’t understand it is not proper to flail your religious fantasies around in general public. Save it for your cult of worship on the weekends. But the minute you clock in for work (real work, not religious), hop on a plane, enter a public establishment, etc., you SHUT UP about your faith. It’s no longer in play. Any shithead, curly-q men who expect the world to obey their made-up fantasies just should be denied a plane ticket. Walk, young friends of Moses and other made up fools. The bearded guy will guide you on your walk! :rolleyes: ---

When I worked as shift supervisor, I had to make it clear to at least one of the guys that he was not allowed to spread the good word on the floor. Break-room, no problem, but not while working. ---

The ever-reliable Pastor Creflo Dollar (surprisingly, his real name) is blaming _Pokémon_ for turning children born in the '80s and '90s gay. The kids had “their sexuality warped by Ash and his fruity friends.” I am having trouble finding a site containing that so-called quote that does not also describe Dollar as “money hungry” or “gold digging” or “a shyster,” but here’s a link to a more sympathetic (I think–Poe) site with the additional features of other nutty claims and being translated from French: [christnews.org](http://christnews.org/en/les-pokemon-a-lorigine-de-lhomosexualite-de-nombreux-deviants/) Personally, I went more for Jessie than James, but 1989 was well past when my sexual identity got fixed. ---

Let it be known that, when it comes to stupid religious ideas this one was a double-header, because this “art show” was put on by the American Freedom Defense Initiative, an anti-Muslim hate group. This same group put ads on San Francisco buses saying the Israeli-Palestinian conflict was a “war between the civilized man and the savage.” ---
