I thought that was why sex isn’t allowed – because it might lead to dancing.

You know, there really isn’t all that much difference between a strip club and a… “traditional” house of worship.

Lots of colored glass, the fees for the upkeep of the facilities are pretty much voluntary, lots of talk of sin, and lots of thanking Jesus.

Of course, the only lie a stripper ever told me was that she was in med school…

That would be about the only way you would willingly get me back into a church.

Plus the church has a one-drink (and wafer) minimum.

Here’s a fun one. Teabaggers are against net neutrality…because, you know, a neutral net is anti-free-speech.

[http://tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com/2010/08/tea-partiers-say-net-neutrality-hurts-freedom.php](http://tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com/2010/08/tea-partiers-say-net-neutrality-hurts-freedom.php)

Or maybe it’s just because the niggers (Democrats) support it.

I read the entire article, and perhaps I missed it, but where’s the tie-in to the ‘N’ word here?

Because we’re talking about Tea Party. If you want to pretend that their frenzied insanity isn’t based on that, that’s your business.

And I’m sure you know what “Democrat” means here in Dixie, right?

Oh, I don’t disagree at all that the reason for the formation of the TP movement, as well as the impetus for its growth, is a direct result of a black man becoming president. To me, the racial reference seemed strange as a response to an article about net neutrality, even though I get where you’re coming from.

Yep, the implication is clear. I guess you added Democrats in parens in case it wasn’t. But I think it probably would have been just as effective if you said ‘black president’. Not trying to spit in your Cheerios here. I just found it a little jarring.

Talk to a teabagger - they think net neutrality is the Fairness Doctrine for the internet. They seriously believe that because it is called “net neutrality” that it means that the internet has to remain neutral in terms of content - that it has to balance political speech on the net by regulating it.

Yes, even though it means the exact opposite, 180° opposed, they have it in their minds that they have it right. It’s not just the uneducated masses, either, many intelligent conservatives are convicted in their belief that it is the exact opposite of what it is.

Maybe we should start tagging everything with the word “nuetrality” …

Birth Certificate Neutrality.
Tax-Break Neutrality
Border Wall Neutrality.
Corporate Welfare Neutrality.

We could have shit running the way it should be in no time.

I don’t think net neutrality means diddly-squat to the tea-baggers, I’m betting only about 25% of them have e-mail, and their addy ends in dot-AOL. This issue is being foisted upon them by the guys who supply the money, I would be willing to bet that before today, not one t-bagger in a hundred had any idea what net neutrality was, and if they were told, wouldn’t give a shit.

They also think the earth isn’t really getting warmer, that evil Muslims are trying to build a mosque more or less where the receptionist used to sit at One World Trade Center, that Obama is a Muslim and/or the Antichrist, that Saddam Hussein and Osama bin Laden are best buds, and that Obamacare means their grandparents will be put to death by bureaucrats.

Is it really that surprising that they have no fucking clue what they’re talking about this time?

Oh dear god, I’ve had so many conversations that went exactly like that. The really sad part is that, although the reasons change, the attitude that net neutrality is anti-free speech is not limited to just teabaggers or conservatives. It’s everyone who is ignorant of what happens behind their browser.
