So, apparently a spokesperson for New York City mayor Bill de Blasio, Amy Spitalnick, reached out to the Daily Caller for a correction on a story. After some snide replies, she was shunted up the chain to the Tuckster himself, who proceeded to send a patronizing reply back, after which Tucker’s brother Buckley (Buckley?) send an email to his bro which said the following: “Great response. Whiny little self-righteous bitch. “Appalling?” And with such an ironic name, too… Spitalnick? Ironic because you just know she has extreme dick-fright; no chance has this girl ever had a pearl necklace. Spoogeneck? I don’t think so. More like LabiaFace.”

However, he accidentally also forwarded it to Spitalnick. I am not 100% sure that Buckley is a Republican, but I think it a safe bet. I am quite sure that he’s an idiot and so belongs in this thread. In what kind of universe is this all right? What an enormous asshole.

I fail to see how we could expect trauma to the brain to kill him, since it’s clear that said organ is already nonfunctional.

Maybe we could harness the hot air from the GOP pols squatting in DC. McCain could lead the effort; it seems right in his wheelhouse.

😕 That goes way beyond “no science,” it doesn’t make any kind of sense. If the drug works at all, then it expels the embryo from the body. How could that possibly be reversible?! And if it were, that would make a woman **less** hesitant to take the drug; if she changes her mind next month, she can always take the reversal-treatment and be pregnant again with the same embryo.

Just what are they trying to **say?!**

The Slate article gives more detail. It’s a two-pill process, so doctors will now be forced to tell women that if they become distraught after taking the first one, which itself is not sufficient to induce abortion, to come back and be given a shot of testosterone to reverse the process. Which it most definitely does not. Testosterone does nothing to the fetus or the process. Not a goddamn thing. But now all doctors will have to lie to their patients by law.

I think he’s more often Doubly Wrong than Not Even Wrong. Including in this case.

He’s wrong about which side are metaphorical (well, probably metaphorical) Flat Earthers, and he’s wrong about the facts of Galileo’s persecution. He’s Twice Wrong, Doubly Wrong, Repeatedly Wrong, but not Not Even Wrong.

All that change really does is sit in a coffee can at home waiting to be cashed in for actual money, or it gets lost.

You’re arguing for only having coins/bills at a multiple of four or five. But it’s long been custom to have them at multiples of 2 or 2.5.

That’s a separate argument from the problem that the dime has the approximate purchasing power now that the half-cent had when it was abandoned. Since deflation would be destructive to many small landholders, we aren’t going back. Dump everything below the quarter.

Or, just to annoy Askthepizzaguy, take his advice and strip out half the bills, while getting ahead of the game and dumping the quarter too:

Half dollar coin
Two-dollar coin
Ten-dollar (One eagle) bill
Fifty-dollar bill
(suck it Franklin, you old fraud)
Two-Hundred-dollar bill

etc.

I say the way to go is the smallest denomination is the “bit”, as in a quarter is two bits. And screw the two dolla coin, Americans cannot handle twos, just mint a $5 coin, with a brass seated Lincoln inlaid in a silvery disk.
