I’ve seen ATMs that dispense cash in a variety of denominations. But only in really upscale areas.

Henceforth, all public assistance in Kansas will be paid in quarters.

Now, there are things you could do with a stripper and a **roll** of quarters . . .

I see his plagiarism tendencies have continued.

I see that there are already dark money funded [anti Rand Paul ads](http://www.free-times.com/blogs/anti-rand-paul-attack-ads-to-roll-out-in-south-carolina-040715)being rolled out in early primary states. “. . . he’s already being swiftboated.”

> The hawkish Foundation for a Secure and Prosperous America is rolling out attack ads in South Carolina, Iowa and New Hampshire against Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky, who is expected to announce his candidacy for president this week. They accuse Paul of being weak on Iran. As Bloomberg reports, the man behind the campaign was also responsible for the 2004 “Swiftboat Veterans for Truth” campaign that attacked John Kerry on national security.

[see one of them here](http://crooksandliars.com/2015/04/conservative-group-launches-attack-ads)

As with Cruz, it doesn’t appear to me that this guy has much of a chance at getting the nomination.

Since it looks like the photos all came from the same site, it’s possible that his campaign actually paid for them, but given his track record…

Probably not.

[More from Kansas:](http://www.salon.com/2015/04/08/kansas_anti_choice_horror_sam_brownback_outlaws_the_safest_technique_used_for_second_trimester_abortions/)

> [@](#):
>
> In a private ceremony this week, flanked on both sides by anti-choice activists and posterboard-sized photos of fetuses, Republican Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback signed a law banning what doctors say is the safest technique used for second-trimester abortions. Kansas is the first state to outlaw the method known as dilation and evacuation, which lawmakers have renamed “dismemberment abortion.”
>
> If the name sounds distractingly gruesome to you, that’s by design. The legislation isn’t an invention out of Kansas, it was drafted by the National Right to Life Coalition, the same anti-choice organization that brought you the “partial-birth” abortion ban and the early aughts culture wars that came with it.
>
> Now with “dismemberment abortion,” anti-choice activists are hoping for a repeat, pushing identical measures in other states. And while the broader strategy is very much national, Brownback is using his state’s new restriction — and its status as one of the most hostile states to abortion rights — to distract from a ballooning deficit, crumbling infrastructure and struggling schools. His office announced Tuesday that the governor will stage multiple public reenactments of the signing throughout the rest of the month.

Disagree. Their photoshopping skills have been shown to be sub-par. It’s not plausible that they’d be able to override the watermark\* that says “shutterstock.”

> To be fair, they can still do those things, just not with government money. I am not opposed to this. That money should spent on necessities.

I’m opposed to this having been poor and know poor people. It may be nice to think that those who are in poverty are just going straight from work to home and that’s it, but in reality, if you deny people even a modicum of luxury, its it demoralizing and insulting. You cannot tell people who are likely to be poor for a while that they can never have a day off from being poor, they can’t enjoy anything others take for granted. Seeing a movie, eating out once in a while, or enjoying a swim are not things that keep the poor in poverty. More likely its the bad neighborhood, bad job, and limited opportunities that are taking the bulk of their money. (Plus some stupid ATM fee they have to pay every day to get $20 in cash). I’m against this just as I’m against other limits on using food stamps such as the restriction on seafood or steak.

People who think poor people are abusing their public funding eating lobster every night or going out to see movies have never been poor. NEVER. Or else they’d sympathize that sometimes kids have birthdays and you don’t want to simply make them a cold sandwich and tell them that’s their cake. There is utter inhumanity in these restrictions.

> [@Miller](#):
>
> I’ve seen ATMs that dispense cash in a variety of denominations. But only in really upscale areas.

I saw somewhere that the hidden cost of this plan will be an extraordinary burden on the poor. Many places charge an ATM fee. So even if its a just a few cents to you or I, all those fees really add up to someone who’s poor. Just another way for Republicans to funnel money from the poor to rich banks
