That explains it then. I normally think of the relationship between a Governor and an Lt. Governor as similar to that of a Vice-President to a President, but that’s not the case for Texas. ---

[Louisiana “educators” brag of their efforts to promote creationism](http://www.rawstory.com/2015/04/louisiana-teachers-brag-about-pushing-creationism-on-kids-but-the-bill-to-stop-them-is-doomed/), as state Democrats struggle vainly to get the law off the books. _“I have obtained emails from creationist teachers and school administrators, as well as a letter signed by more than 20 current and former Louisiana science teachers in Ouachita Parish in which they say they challenge evolution in the classroom without legal ‘tension or fear’ because of pro-creationism policies,” claimed Zack Kopplin in an article for Slate._ and, _A creationist principal in Ouachita filmed videos of himself when he taught biology, and Kopplin uncovered an approving email sent to the former teacher from another Louisiana creationist.“[COLOR=“Magenta”]The DVD you made in the classroom is needed to show what a teacher can do in a single period,” wrote Charles Voss, who publishes his own creationist materials. “You literally destroyed evolution in one 40 minute period.”_[/color] There is some incomprehensible thing about how _The law allows teachers to use outside materials to “promote critical thinking skills” and “objective discussion of scientific theories”_, which confuses me because teaching bible stuff seems like the opposite of promoting critical thinking skills. ---

They try to use the same language as their opponents in an attempt to place themselves on the same intellectual level. It’s obvious that they don’t really understand the meanings of those terms. ---
