Well, sure, that was the plan from the git-go. Cheney was the old hand, the seasoned veteran who would guide the likeable doofus. He was sold as virtually a co-President. That was a positive selling point, one designed to make GeeDubya more attractive. ---

This is not exactly a Republican idea as such, but [Rubbin Buttz BBQ in Milliken CO plans to hold “white appreciation day” on June 11](http://www.nbcnews.com/news/nbcblk/colorado-restaurant-plans-hold-white-appreciation-day-n355901), giving white customers a 10% discount. The headline identifies it as being Latino-owned. ---
