Duggar Spawn #1 has already publicly acknowledged the molestation. Note that the family revealed this information to a family friend, who was a cop, who is now serving 50+ years in prison for possession of child pornography. And Josh’s “punishment” was to go to a Church camp run by a guy who is now in jail for sexual stalking of underage girls. ---

My uncle can brag about the time he had sex with a german shepherd, and everyone just laughs, but if I mention the christian fundamentalist, the room goes all quiet. Lost of few friends who could not deal with the thought of it. ---

Daddy is a baby fucker, and the situation is unacceptable. Recommended steps to solve. 1. The wife confronts Daddy with the error of his ways, relying on Scripture and wisdom, while still mindful of her proper and appointed role in a Christian marriage. I gather from the somewhat coy context that blowing his nuts off with a shotgun is not within those divine boundaries, as outlined by St. Paul in his letter to the Effusions. If Step one is not blessed by resolution and repentance, then Step 2 is deployed, the confrontation from parents and in-laws, invoking the Mosaic law of reverence and obedience to one’s parents. (A principle I now see as having merit, once I attained the age and experience to appreciate the wisdom…) Step 3 is going nuclear, taking the whole question of sin to the congregation, focusing the prayerful power of the faithful, like the magnifying glass of the church focusing the rays of Grace on the sinful ant which bursts and shrivels in the flames of repentance. Then, and only then, are secular authorities to be brought in. Because “Law officers are the ministers of God.” Well, OK, then. That’s all sorted out. ---

How about the scenario they have with “Jason” an older brother who’s home is infiltrated by social workers proving Jason is a sexual abuser of his younger sisters. What was the problem? Jason discuses this in writing that his younger sisters would come out of their bath naked or with just a towel. “Modesty was a factor. It was not at the level it should have been in my family.” Oh, those sneaky, sneaky women… This belongs in the “stupid religious” thread too. ---

The person he was picking the fistfight with had actually voted _for_ putting the bill on the calendar and had done everything he said he would do. But… "The Calendars Committee reconvened after the House session and voted to move SB575 forward by a vote of 8-0. Two Republicans and all of the Democrats were marked as absent. " which sounds mighty shady to me. One has to wonder if it’s legal to reconvene the committee and, presumably, not tell half the members.
