That’s what I thought, sometimes american dopers do not realize that those of us outside of the “anglosphere” can understand their words but not all their cultural baggage, I spend years wondering what the ever-loving fuck was a “GOP”, I deduced by context that it was the Republican party, but the meaning of the acronym escaped me. (It means Great Old Party \*\*Kobal2 \*\*🙂 ) ---

Voter suppression. Putting aside all the legal and ethical and moral issues, this is a stupid idea. Nothing gets people out to vote more than the notion that someone is threatening their right to vote. Nothing. ---

Argument 1: For voting, like mathematics, auto repair, and brain surgery, there is a right and a wrong way to do it. Running for office is an entirely separate matter, as individual women of exceptional ability and stellar such as Michelle Bachmann, Sarah Palin, and Christine O’Donnell can rise to the top. Its just the average woman who is so obviously incompetent. Argument 2: Coulter is nothing but a Troll, who realizes that the more shocking, and ludicrous her claims are the more books she sells. Hearing a woman say that women shouldn’t vote is the height of shock value. No one seriously believes women shouldn’t be allowed (Coulter included) but lots of people are interested in reading the book of someone who would say such a thing, just out of the curiosity of what other ludicrous things they are going to say. ---
