It would also help if what passes for satire on these sites weren’t so scarily true to how these people are. I had no trouble believing Christie could say something like that, in public, because he’s said so many things you’d never believe anyone with compassion would say in public. \ Which means that I need to remember to check even more rigorously. ---

You know, if conservatives were making fun of somewhere for being gay, there would be a certain amount of outrage. If Graham is closeted, then he may deserve grief for that combined with his support of various anti-gay measures. But until that is determined (he could just be that soft-spoken, or asexual, or who knows) - gay-bashing seems untoward coming from this side. ---
