Thermodynamics works for water but not for Hell?

What if Hell is expanding at the same rate as the increase in souls?

[The Texas State Attorney General is telling state workers they don’t have to issue licenses to same sex couples](http://abc13.com/news/paxton-state-workers-can-deny-licenses-to-same-sex-couples/813013/), because(apparently) he is right and the SCOTUS is wrong. Don’t worry if you get taken to court, he says-We’ll use state funds to provide you a lawyer! Of course, he doesn’t explain how those state funds are going to keep those misinformed state workers out of jail once they lose their cases.

> I am not quite clear on how the rights of heterosexuals have been infringed. **Is it now a horrible thing, that we have to see gay people being gay?** If that is so bad, what can we so in order to stop having to see christians being christians? (Or any other faith, for that matter.)

The very sight of gays being gay is harmful, to the point of _debilitating_ for observant Christians. (Observant meaning, first, they observe the gayness of gays, and second, they observe the sacred dictates of The Book.)

_If thine eye offend thee, pluck it out._ (Matt 18:9, KJV, also similar at Matt 5:29, Mark 9:47) So many blind Christians we are going to have in these coming bad times!

(Or is this one of those Biblical requirements that, y’know, is a bit too inconvenient for anybody to actually follow? Must be important, though, if The Book mentions it three times!)

I think the logic is, it offends Christians to have to deal with homosexuals as though they were people, because it’s against their religion to do anything with them besides try to convert them or stone them to death. Therefore, religious liberty or something.

I woke up today with a tingle - it was great day.

I jostle the wife slightly and I said
“I have this great feeling, a tingle, I will marry the first man I see today.”
Wife, “That would be the recycle truck driver. He’s fat and mean. Go back to sleep.”

“But honey, today you could marry your sister, or all your sisters!”
“They are already married. Go back to sleep.”

“Honey we could marry the dog!”
“We don’t have a dog, go back to sleep.”

“Let’s sign up for the state health exchange.”
“We’ve had Aetna for 20+ years. Go back to sleep.”

I thought, pondered, meditated. “Honey, my tingle, everything has changed.”
“Dear, put away the cross, the tin foil hat and fold up the umbrella. Nothing has changed - well except for the tracking device inserted during your colonoscopy yesterday. Go back to sleep.”

“Sigh, I guess you’re right. Probably just gas.”
“Spray the air freshener and go back to sleep.”

> That’s a thing, right?

If the seller knew the buyer was going to use the gun in a murder, he’d probably be guilty of conspiracy to commit murder, aiding and abetting, or accomplice to murder.

However, homosexuality is not a crime. Sins are different. A christian would be sinning if he supplied a condom to someone he knew was going to commit adultery with it (whether or not that christian believed using a condom was a sin of itself). So I can see where they’re going with this. I am just glad that our Constitution isn’t based on some English King’s interpretation of somebody’s else’s collection of religious stories, which I believe, is as stupid an idea as they get.

Then where does Free Will enter the picture? If I am conducting my legal, moral business isn’t any sin on the head of the person who actually commits it? At what point does the chain of responsibility stop? I’m pretty well-read, Biblically-speaking, and I don’t recall Jesus saying anything about “If you mine the lead that made the bullet that someone sold to someone else who used the bullet to shoot a deer out of season, goest thou to Hell.”

In Scalia’s butthurt Gay Marriage dissent he points out that 8 of the 9 justices are from either of the two coasts, 4 are from New York alone and the faiths of the justices are not representative of the nation as a whole. Supreme Court Justices are not required nor intended to be representative of the nation as a whole, but since Scalia is concerned about equitable representation perhaps he could start with concern that the 22 female GOP representatives in the House represent 8.9% of that parties members.

I prefer to think of it as a collection of oral traditions from illiterate Bronze Age sheep herders. Which is fine, but lets not cherry pick here, if the book says it’s a sin then modern believers should strive to make the act illegal and if it says an act is righteous then it not ought to be.

There’s all kinds of good stuff there, but lets start with a softball that’s apropos. Homosexuality isn’t in any of the Commandments, but adultery is, why isn’t it illegal?

So, Scalia is saying that the life experiences of justices have some bearing on how they might interpret the law?

So, he must have therefore severely criticized those right-wingers who made such a fuss about sending a “wise Latina” to the SCOTUS, right?

Right?

Nor your neighbor’s maidservant’s ass. So, if your neighbor hires Daeneyrs Targaryen to clean house, and she rides in on a donkey, best to just gouge your eyes out, be on the safe side.
