If the U.S. suddenly turned a profit on each immigrant who crossed the border illegally, it would be in our interest to encourage as many as possible. Does Trump say if he’d send them back, or does that $100,000 buy them the right to stay here? If we do deport them, we could send them back with instructions on how best to sneak back in. Mexico, on the other hand, would now have the economic incentive to keep people in. They could build a fortified fence and guard towers to keep people from crossing the border at all costs. I seem to remember when East Germany did that we criticized them, too. ---

More importantly, how do we go about securing the border with Texas? I mean, there will be _some_ people who actually want to stay in Texas, but can we handle the inevitable influx of refugees? Is suffocating stupidity a justification for refugee status? ---
