Pictures of Ted Cruz remind me disturbingly much of the late unlamented Senator Joseph McCarthy. Doing a google image search for Ted Cruz and Joseph McCarthy, I find that I am far from the first one to have noticed this. There are a great many side-by-side images such as [this one](http://newsbusters.org/blogs/noel-sheppard/2013/04/23/david-brooks-ted-cruz-has-face-looks-little-joe-mccarthy). ---
