My guess is that building it, maintaining it, and staffing it for a couple of decades would cost about a trillion US dollars (based on an [extrapolation](http://www.forbes.com/sites/richardfinger/2013/07/18/the-border-fence-horrible-deal-at-cost-up-to-40000-per-illegal-immigrant-apprehended/) of a 2007 Congressional Research Office estimate of a 700 mile long USA/Mexico fence). Pretty much proof that stupid Republicans are stupid as fuck when it comes to geography and costing. ---

Well, seeing as Canada had one heck of a hard time convincing Michigan to let Canada entirely pay for a new bridge (location of the greatest volume of trade between the USA and Canada, some 9,000 trucks per day, noting the USA exports more to Canada than any other trading partner, including the entire EU and including China) . . . [No, as unbelievable as it is, I’m not making this shit up.
