I have read that Clinton has said that his greatest foreign-policy regret from his tenure as president is that he did not do more to stop the Rwandan genocide. That does not make it his fault that it happened, and he certainly has made no admission that it was his fault that it happened. ---

He regretted not doing something about it. There is a difference between “I didn’t step in to fix things” and “It’s my fault”. If I see someone get mugged and don’t risk my life to intervene, I didn’t step in. If I don’t, it’s _not_ my fault that the person got mugged! And I hold no responsibility for not stepping in when me stepping in most likely just would have led to more casualties and a worse situation overall. And that’s sort of the situation in Syria. Why the _fuck_ should the USA get involved in Syria? Honestly, why? Every attempt we’ve made to step into the middle east in the last decade or two has been an unmitigated disaster, where everything only ever got worse. At this point, not having a plan is _way_ better than trying to enact some half-cocked bullshit like the _last_ administration. ---

Can anyone confirm this tweet from Trump? I saw it as an image: “My grandparents didn’t come to America all the way from Germany just to see it taken over by immigrants. Not on my watch.” I mean, images can be faked, and I avoid twitter as much as possible. ---
