Nope, lots of varied hits on Google for this story. The state office, of course, denies the firing has anything to do with anything church-related.

Actually, when you read the article, it’s apparently even more stupid than that. They prepared the letter with questions _and_ a snotty “why didn’t you answer our questions satisfactorily?” letter simultaneously and then sent the wrong one. It’s like a two act play of outrage theater where they forgot to stage the first act.

She’s an inspiration to women everywhere, such as:

I never understood the supposed sex appeal of Mrs. Mooselini. However when I’m sent to Gitmo for sedition I hope that, stupid or not, [the 2007 edition of Caitlin Upton](http://www.straitpinkie.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/Caitlin-Upton-08290702.jpg) is assigned as my torturer.

I’d be less enthused about the [2014 version of Ms. Upton](http://fatworld.wikia.com/wiki/Caitlin_Upton):

To be fair to the GOP, they were acting to improve government efficiency:

I’m not trying to hijack this thread but that’s not real. It’s a site dedicated to photo-shopping celebrities to make them appear um… bigger than they are. It’s apparently for fetishists who are into that type of thing. The fact that such a site exists could be the subject of a whole other pit thread.

:smack:  So I was whoooooshed. I should have suspected nonsense with “Upton gained over 200 pounds and currently weighs 560 pounds” … meaning she was a slender 360 pounds as a sexy teen.

I’ll blame Google. Googling for images of Caitlyn Upton mostly gave me Kate Upton (whom I’d definitely accept as my torturer).

Watching those horrible “Game of War” commercials she’s in is torture enough. No amount of boobage can make up for endlessly-repeated overblown ads pushing a shitty app.

I don’t know – endlessly repeated ads featuring impressive cleavage become an end in themselves, regardless of what they’re pushing.

They were sure pushing the limits of that fabric.

Hey now, nobody chastises Richard Nixon for drafting two speeches on the moon landing. Perhaps we should take a page out of this playbook and start prepping responses for any and every potential scenario within the multiverse.

I swear to God (the Christian God, not Kim Davis’s) that this is one of the first times I’ve been totally Poe’d or whooshed (Pwooshed) by that first post. That would have sounded perfectly natural coming out of Steven Colbert in his heyday.

I think there could have been some chastisement if Nixon had actually read the wrong speech.

Well at full tilt of 590,000 bbl per day, that’s 3.458x10^15 joules per day, or 40,023,148,148 joules per second, so 40 giga watts or so.

He might have been wearing a fake uniform (he liked to do that) but they acknowledged and respected him for his political leadership.

One would be tempted to think this is simply a matter of partisanship, but there is no evidence that Democrats have ever entertained the notion of a military coup, no matter who was president, even one as widely loathed as George W. Bush. It’s as “un-American” as it gets.
