“Because they didn’t get as much support as they think they’re entitled to?” But I thought they were supposed to be coming over to wreak havoc in the first place. What, now you’re characterizing them as honest-to-god refugees who are gonna be radicalized because something-something Muslims are inherently ungrateful? 😕 ---

You don’t think the ISIS operatives among them will take advantage of the fact that they’ll be living hand to mouth on our territory? If we’re going to take them in we’d better house them in McMansions and give them $20/hr jobs. ---

I think having to deal with the bullshit that whackjob conservatives will deal out to them will radicalize them more than an ISIS agent could, when even a subsistence living here is an improvement over what they are escaping from. ---

Except the older brother was only fifteen when he came to the States. The Boston Marathon bombings were nine years later. (age 24, not a kid) He was not a radical sneaking in under the guise of being a refugee. ---

You do realize that these are people who had jobs, homes, family and friends that they were forced to leave behind, right? You think they just decided to come to America because - hey, free stuff - give me all of it and more! Is that how you would treat people who took you in if you were a victim of a disaster? These people are just like you - **they are human beings**. Well, maybe not just like you - maybe you would shit on people who were trying to help you. But the majority of people would not. ---
