See? _See??_

[QUOTE=Josh Moore, R]
If it’s a woman’s natural inclination to pull her nipple out in public and you support that than you should have no problem with a mans inclantion [sic] to stare at it and grab it. After all… It’s ALL relative and natural, right?

Yeah, but mostly because photogs were lying on the floor to get an angle that would show a tit in the background of his press conferences. They did the same to Ed Meese, but Ashcroft is even more terrible…

…than…Ed. Meese.
Jeezus, I just gave myself a chill.
But yeah, it wasn’t entirely out of prudery.

Point of order: I don’t think we have any evidence that Kevin Swanson, while inarguably a loon, is a Republican, nor that he represents the Republican Party in any way.

And to demonstrate that, I expect Ted “Theodore” Cruz, Bobby Jindal, and Huckleberry will immediately express their disagreement with the loon’s bullshit, and state unequivocally that they do not agree with him, even though they have appeared on stage with him.

I expect this disavowal any moment.

Aaaaaaaaany moment.

Um, surely if it kills the “wrong kind of people,” or goads them into leaving the state of Texas, that’s a plus in some eyes.

This guy has me all confused. Is he OK with just anyone raping his wife? Or just him? Because, you know, the thing about rape is, it’s fucking someone who doesn’t want to be fucked, or at least, is not in a position to say “no” (like Bill Cosby’s accusers). It always thought it kind of doesn’t matter who’s doing the raping, it’s rape if the other person isn’t into it.

I have to assume that this guy thinks married women in general are OK with rape … because they’re used to it? Does this mean I can rape married women but not single women?

Need answer fast!

It comes down to the belief that God requires women to submit to their husband.

In 2008, when he said that–on an online discussion board!–he would have been 24 or 25, so I totally get trying to play the “Ah was young and dumb” card along with the tired “Jesus forgives me” shtick. And based on a quick scan of his record, as well as his FB and Twitter followers, it will very likely fly with his core constituency.

As an aging [hesher](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=twZ6u8Tryzk), it is important for me to clear these things up:

> [@elucidator](#):
>
> Well, shit, if the death metal bands have turned against Obama, we might as well just give it up, get on the Romney bandwagon while there’s still room.

Eagles Of Death Metal are _not_ a death metal band. Nor do they sound like the Eagles, which is what prompted the band’s moniker:

> [@](#):
>
> Despite their band name, Eagles of Death Metal are not a death metal band. In a video interview taken at a converse [music.co.uk](http://music.co.uk) sponsored event at the Soho Revue Bar in London, Hughes states that he and Homme were in a bar watching a man dance to the song “Wind of Change” by the Scorpions. When asked what he was doing, the man yelled, “This is death metal, dude!”, to which Homme replied, “No it’s not. This is like the Eagles of death metal.”
>
> An alternate story concerning the origin of the band name claims that the name originated during an exchange in which a friend of Josh Homme was attempting to convert Homme to the death metal genre. When the friend played a song by the Polish band Vader and made a claim that the song was within the death metal genre, Homme then referred to Vader as “the Eagles of death metal”. After hearing this phrase, Hughes wondered what a cross between the Eagles and a death metal band would sound like. ([Wiki](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eagles_of_Death_Metal))

To those who need to see the difference, [this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sHY1xCl4Qak) is my favorite Eagles Of Death Metal song and [this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_duhhVa-dk8) is one of my favorite death metal songs.

You will notice a pretty vast difference… 🙂

> [@Really\_Not\_All\_That\_Bright](#):
>
> Dave Mustaine (whose political views are nearly as out there as this EDF guy’s) endorsed Romney last time around. I gather most bands are pretty firmly in the (D) camp though.

I wish this was the case, however there are a lot of metalheads who are conservative with their politics. Overseas a lot of black metal bands have Nationalist Socialist viewpoints (also known as NSBM) which are definitely not liberal. Here in America there are large swathes of [this guy](http://metalluminati.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/Pantera-Fatty1.jpg).

The [bassist from Malevolent Creation](http://www.metalinjection.net/shocking-revelations/malevolent-creation-bassist-goes-on-xenophobic-rant-against-muslim-president-obama) made silly anti-Obama quotes. A [former drummer of Overkill](http://www.blabbermouth.net/news/former-overkill-drummer-rat-skates-uses-hitler-and-holocaust-footage-in-bizarre-anti-dictator-video/) who directed a documentary of the early thrash metal scene compared Obama to Hitler. Korn’s Jonathan Davis said [Obama is an “Illuminati puppet.”](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zdix36wExS0) James Hetfield [identifies as a Libertarian](http://www.libertarianrepublican.net/2009/04/rightwinger-american-patriot-james.html). Metal fans in the midwest cranking up Pantera, Slayer, Metallica… They love their guns, probably fly a confederate flag and most likely harbor ill feelings towards people who may not look like they do.

I wish there were more Democratic-minded metalheads as I am one. But we are at best a slight majority, all fans considered. It’s probably about 50/50.
