I’ve not visited this thread for a while (Republicans stupid? Isn’t that like Dog bites man?) but dropped by just now and saw this.

If a bartender heard this “idea” he’d make sure the guy wasn’t going to be driving a car. But this guy is a U.S. Congressman. :smack:
I’d love to join in the laughter, but instead am profoundly saddened.

To be honest, if Obama was clever enough to get Congress to pass a bill that would give him his own private army, I’d be mightily impressed. It’d make a change from his current tendency to avoid confrontation.

A top White House source in my head has informed me that the primary reason we are getting involved in Lybia is to get access to Gaddafi’s tailor.

So is Obama’s private army made up solely of hot chicks, too?

I kid you not.

Indoctrinated.

At gunpoint.

Please share this with everyone you know, and not just fellow Democrats. This crazy fool is currently at the top of the heap of Republicans for the nomination. EVERYONE needs to be afraid of this joker and not let him anywhere near the White House unless he’s invited for dinner.

Yeah, Huckabee’s the one who scares me a little. He’s just as lunatic as the rest of them, but he has this chuckling uncle kind of facade that’s a little charming, even for someone as left as me. You really start to think “He’s not that bad, is he?” Until he pulls something like this and you realize that he’s in the exact same mold as the rest of the lunatics in the GOP, if not more so.

He clearly didn’t mean he literally wanted everyone in America held at gunpoint, but he _sincerely_ meant that he wishes everyone in America would be forced (he even emphasized ‘forced’ twice) to be indoctrinated with that loon’s revisionist history. And a man who sincerely believes this would be a better nation if everyone believed the way he does, particularly when that belief is _wrong_ is frightening and **dangerous** to have anywhere near the White House with anything more than a dinner invitation.

Thank you for the amazing link, **Shayna**. Nice website; while there I clicked on Robert Reich’s blog.

In this thread though, we’re all “preaching to the converted.” I wish some of you would post some of these things in the GD forum.

Sometimes I just can’t figure out if it’s an April Fool thing or not. What do you think?

**Montana Rep. Alan Hale (R, of course) Says DUI Laws Are ‘Destroying a Way of Life’**

A Montana politician who runs a bar in his district says drunken driving regulations hurt small businesses – namely bars and taverns.

So now Republicans are trying to blame Democrats for Donald Trump.

[
