Almost two days without a stupid idea? Are they slacking? [Virginia state Senate Majority leader Tommy Norment wants ethics laws rolled back](https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/virginias-senate-wants-to-re-gift-itself-looser-ethics-laws/2016/02/25/6bb6e038-db48-11e5-81ae-7491b9b9e7df_story.html), because he does not want his [del]customers[/del] constituents to think he comes cheap. This, of course, after the former governor was spitted for his ostentatious graft. Oh, the good old days, of a few short years ago. ---

Former ID governor Cecil Andrus noted “Idahoans elect republicans so dumb they have to be watered, but a Democrat has to be canny as a coyote to survive”. Andrus was not popular with republicans, and wasn’t noted for mincing words, but was elected to four terms nonetheless. ---

He’s technically correct that many instances of rape do not involve pregnancy, thank God. I think that’s the only part of his statement that is correct in any sense of the word. ---
