About ten days after he signed that one, he [sign a “Day of Reason” proclamation](http://unitedcor.org/day-reason-declared-iowa-governor-branstad/). It appears that the proclamations are submitted to him by citizens and he mostly just shoves them under the auto-pen. ---

As state Attorney General, now-Texas Governor Greg Abbott pursued a lawsuit against Trump University. Somewhere along the line, the lawsuit was dropped. And, in a totally unrelated development, I’m sure, he received a political donation from Donald Trump for his gubernatorial election campaign. > **[Texas Gov. Trump is on a roll. Japan needs an A-bomb, our allies need to start paying for our ‘protection’, Mexican Americans can’t be trusted to be judges and [this](https://youtu.be/37-M_AzPxmM?t=31s) during a rally. “Look at my African American over there!” pointing out the (probably) lone black face. Phrasing, dude. He goes on to explain how well behaved his African American is, or was. And then his African American got even better by punching someone in the face. Those are his blacks, well behaved until they punch someone in the name of Trump.
