The Heritage Foundation, trying to find a justification to oppose transgender bathroom usage, now believes in a “[constitutionally guaranteed right to privacy](http://thinkprogress.org/justice/2016/06/30/3794539/stunning-hilarious-hypocrisy-christian-rights-top-legal-team/)”. You know, the one they’ve spent decades insisting _didn’t_ exist when it was being used to defend access to birth control and abortion. ---

If only Obama hadn’t nominated a raving centrist fanatic. Has anyone ever honored him with such accolades as “strict constructionist” or “originalist”? Besides, when a Supreme is called to pass the Golden Bar, the President is expected to nominate someone who most closely aligns with views of the Dour Departed. Been that way since the days of the very earliest Chief Justice, and is famously known as “Marshall Law”. That’s a true fact, you could look it up! ---

I’m sorry. I know this thread is supposed to be about the stupidities of the GOP intelligentsia — statesmen and scholars like Sean Hannity, Rick Santorum, and Marco Rubio — and not about ordinary dolts and sheeple like Bricker and Shodan. But this one has me laughing so much I can’t stop. I want to share. Recall that Obama inherited the worst financial disaster since the 1929 Crash and for more than two years the world economy was on the verge of utter collapse. The U.S. recovered, with _ **the S&P 500 index more than tripling from its low** _. (To quote Omar Little, “That’s something you don’t see every day.”) The last 73 months have seen uninterrupted job growth — that’s another one for the record books. Now, one can attempt the sensical claim that Obama was not responsible for that unprecedented recovery. But that’s not what Shodan did. In terms of NR’s argument, it is invalid because the Constitution guarantees rights relative to _the Government_: it does not protect us _from each other_. If they ever get around to passing the 28[sup]th[/sup] amendment, **Amendment XVIII** [INDENT]_Section 1: Don’t be an asshole. Section 2: There is no section two._[/INDENT] that might change things. Most notably, it would almost certainly wipe out the Republiopathic Party. ---
