A person who tends to favor the status quo and is suspicious of change is “conservative”. Someone who want to turn back the clock is “reactionary”. ---

One minor detail that **SA** and his ilk tend to ignore is that while “pre-counterculture America” did make great economic and infrastructure strides (for certain elements of society, at least), it achieved them in spite of — or perhaps because of — income tax rates that would have Teahadists grabbing their grenade launchers and heading for their bunkers. ---
