She was eventually hospitalized for a “nervous” condition, when she stopped taking the pills. Heh, who would have thunk it? This was in middle class america in the late sixties early seventies. ---

His delivery is so rich that one recital of “Fern Hill” will add to your belly fat. I like Ginsberg, too. But dig some Gary Snyder, Gregory Corso, and Michael McClure. They did write better poetry. ---

FTR, my wife was basically sexton for a Hindu group that met at our community building. One person said, “You’re so polite. Are you English?” She drew herself to her full height and said, “I am Welsh, and we held off the English at the River Severn for hundreds of years until betrayed by treachery.” Her dates may have been off, but the lovely Indians could relate. ---

I think that many do not see the Jews as regular people but as lambs being fattened for “the end of times”. ---

You can actually change the station. It’s called ‘freedom of choice,’ and it’s one of the values this country was founded on.
