Well, not all the time, but at least it _has_ happened once or twice. I’m doing my part: I teach this case in my security and forensics classes. Never forget! [Serious aside: the guy in the linked case was accused of accessing child porn, and his life was pretty much ruined. Turned out his machine was compromised and he was not aware of the access to the porn images. His employer and the state botched the investigation horribly and the guy had to spend a ton of money to exonerate himself. Awful story all around. I teach it as an example of how _not_ to handle investigations.] ---

I was watching The View this morning (don’t judge me!) and they talked about that Newt quote just after they talked about Mike Pence’s “religious freedom” law. The Republicans just have no sense of irony. ---
