A few days late, but Trump recently visited beautiful nearby Scranton and promised the coal miners that “It’ll be great. You’re going to love it. There will be so much coal that you’ll get bored with mining.” Firstly, no one LIKED being a miner. It was dirty, dangerous, hard work. Secondly: the use of hard coal for home heating peaked more than 60 years ago and most of the mines are tapped out and have been flooded with billions of gallons of water for the last half-century. But you know, reality. ---

First, pipe the contaminated water to Michigan, they won’t notice it. Give the coal a little time to dry out, say, thirty-forty years. Make a big pile and burn all those solar panels. We won’t need to worry about staying warm, we’ve already taken care of _that_ problem! ---

Well, there was the “until our leaders can figure out what’s going on” bit. Maybe Trump’s water-carriers will argue that Obama has known what’s going on all along so Trump’s call for a ban was pre-nullified. ---
