When criticizing Republicans, I usually think it’s poor form to go after somebody who simply mispronounced a word or something. However, I think this warrants an exception: ‘Former Arizona Gov. Oh good god. If I lived in a heavy Republican conspiracy area, I’d gather some acorns from the oaks around here and drop a handful at the entrance to the polls on election day. Just to mess with them. ---

I’m reminded of Barney Frank’s comment after GOP House leader Dick Armey referred to him as “Barney Fag” and then tried the same “slip of the tongue” defense. “I accept his explanation…but nobody ever called my mom ‘Mrs. Fag’.” ---

538 has an interesting [page of Pollster Ratings](http://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/pollster-ratings/), where they assess the accuracy and the political bias of hundreds of polling organizations, from the big ones that are cited on the news all the time, to small ones that you’ve probably never heard of. ---
